Mend British Gas RD628 Boiler Central Heating Worcester Bosch

hot water not as hot as it was!?

got a british gas rd 628 (similar to a worcester bosch 28si II i think?)
the pump went the other day and we swapped it out as the central heating obviously didnt work..
since then, the hot water is just not as hot as it was..
when we turn the CH off, it warms up a bit, but not to what it was..
any ideas?

in addition to the above, if i open the taps less (less flow) it does get as hot as it should!
