how to dismatel for inspection,arcing occurring inside windings after an earthing wire broke, i beleive it caused short as motor does not power up but is free to turn by hand with power disconected

motor stopped working, fault traced to dirty commutator points/worn graphite brushes. I dismantled the casing before realising that the brush assembly is easily removed by levering the plastic holder, but watch for the springs/brushes ! hey presto, once all reassembled, it works.

you just need to remove the nuts and bolts you can't get the front off as it is welded check the thermal trip in the windings just follow the wires
