How can I fix my Phillips TV/VCR Combo (model # CCB190AT32)?

My Phillips TV/VCR Combo (model # CCB190AT32) works fine if you operate the controls manually. The remote doesn't operate any funtions though. I replaced the batteries - still nothing. I replaced the remote - still nothing. I used a universal remote - and still nothing. HELP PLEASE.
