went to change pullstring on craftsman grass trimmer?

took trimmer apart to change pull string. metal recoil came out its about 10 feet long .how do I wind it back up and install.

coil up spring and insert into pullcord housing. wind string around cord pulley (tie in designated spot on pulley first tho), and place in housing. this is the gist of a pullcord, not all are the same. the idea is that the spring should be at rest when the cord is wound in, and pulling the cord tensions the spring.
