Ford transit 1998 wont start engine turns, diesel at injectors?
Replaced the starter, engine turning over ok.
Sprayed easy start but no success.
I disconnected the injector pipes and diesel comming to cylinders.
Sometimes it tries to fire then reverts to just turning over.
Could it be the timing ??
I turned it off one evening then two days later it would not start. It always started first time.
Any one got any ideas. Thanks. April 1998 model 100L 2.5D

Check the oil type, in cold weather sometimes the oil becomes thick and gloopy and the engine will turn as if going to start but wont bite.
Otherwise try the battery making sure it has a high enough charge and that the connectors are ok.
If neither of them then there may be water i the fuel. Contamination means that the water might freeze in the pipes.
Only way round this is to get the motor somewhere warmer.
