Hotpoint WMA 32 Changing the door interlock had no effect?

Following replacement of the door interlock the fault remained. The machine attempts to start its cycle but then the door open light flashes and so does any other LED lit; machine fails to start any cycle hung up in this error condition. Is this a control board problem, if so where does the switch feed, what is the source. Any help greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
