how can i fix my Peugeot 205 1.8 deisel zest?

I own a 1992 pug 205 1.8d zest from new with very low milage that has not turned a wheel for 13mth. through ill health,now that i want the car back on the road,is there any proceedure to start the engine after it has stood for so long,so that no damage is caused.

Id say chances are that the battery is probably flat if that has been left connected for that period of time, asides that there isn't really much else you can do except all the usual checks such as ensure you have enough fulids under the bonnet.
