There are two types of messages you can record onto your answer phone.
Type 1 plays your message and allows the caller to record their message for you to hear.
Type 2 plays your message but does not allow the caller to record a message.

To add your own type 1 outgoing message (OGM1) on the answer phone use the following proceedure as outlined in the manual.
From the VS205 handset
1) Press the clear/mute button - display = "TAD ON"
2) Press the 9 button then the 1 button - display = "91"
3) When you hear a beep speak your message into handset.
display = "REC OGM1". Note:- 30 seconds maximum.
4) Press 5 to stop the recording.
Your message will then play back to you.
display = "PLAY OGM1"
5) At the end of playback there will be a double beep.
The display will return to "TAD ON"
To Play/Check OGM1
1) Press Clear/Mute. Display = "TAD ON"
2) Press 6 then 1. Display = "PLAYOGM1"
Your OGM plays back inviting the caller to leave a message.
Note - To restore the pre-recorded OGM1 press "0" (Zero) at any time during playback. The display reverts to "TAD ON"

To add your own type 2 outgoing message (OGM2) on the answer phone use the following proceedure as outlined in the manual.
From the VS205 handset
1) Press the clear/mute button - display = "TAD ON"
2) Press the 9 button then the 2 button - display = "92"
3) When you hear a beep speak your message into handset.
display = "REC OGM2". Note:- 30 seconds maximum.
4) Press 5 to stop the recording.
Your message will then play back to you.
display = "PLAY OGM2"
5) At the end of playback there will be a double beep.
The display will return to "TAD ON"
To Play/Check OGM1
1) Press Clear/Mute. Display = "TAD ON"
2) Press 6 then 1. Display = "PLAYOGM2"
Your OGM plays back but should not invite the caller to leave a message.
Note - To restore the pre-recorded OGM2 press "0" (Zero) at any time during playback. The display reverts to "TAD ON"
