I have a poulan pro 295 and it will start and run at low RPM but dies at idle and misses or chokes up when I try to rev it up. I have change the plug and cleaned the carb and it hasn't helped. I would greatly appreciate any input.
Take off the carb and check that any holes in the gasket line up with the relevent holes in he engine and carb. Not unknown for machines to come out of the factory assembled wrong. If that checks out, probably a perforated or work-hardened diaphragm.
