HP PRINTER 690C - REMOVE ALL COVERS?

remove the paper holder at the front.. undo the only 2 screws you can see under the paper tray (hex).
turn printer on its top and you will see where the cover is clipped onto the metal baseplate. to release the slips poke a screwdriver thru the round holes in the metal baseplate at the same time as you lever up the baseplate using a flat bladed screwdriver. do this all the way round the baseplate being careful not to damage the plastic, till the basplate is lose, then remove the parallel conneter cover at the bottom (same method and raise it up and unhook it at the top. Careful with the button cables at the front when you remove the cover completly.
