If pressing the minus button does not work try turning off the electric supply for around 30 Seconds. Switch back on and try again. Worked for me on a stoves Richmond mini range 550.

Hi, i had the same problem and i was told to make the bell louder you press the minus button a couple of times, you should hear it beep louder each time you press it, hope that helps. Alison
