My immobiliser fails to respond to the key fob Renault Espace P reg?

I have a 'T' reg mk3 my keyfob was doing the same some key fobs are just rubbish and the frequency may just be out slightly some renault dealers will try sort out the key fob others will tell you to buy a new one it cost me £90 inc vat for a new key fob and for it to be set up took a couple of hours but they were busy

I just got my glow plugs changed in a private garage but my Espace won't start because the mechanic says the immobileser light is staying on so he said I need to take it to a Renault dealer to get the computer reset to fix the problem, it should only take a few mins to do so it should cost you about an hours time.
