What causes a computer to freeze after only being on for about 5 minutes?

I have a Tiny computer on Windows M.E.and find that it freezes nearly every time I swith it on after about 5 minutes,when on-line.Any ideas what is the likely cause?.Or is just something to expect from Tiny.

Could be processor overheating.
Make sure the fan on it is working and not full of dust.
