when i start my van it smokes quite bad a light blue colour, it stops afta 5 mins or so of running and then if i turn off n restart it is ok but left for a few hours it does it again.
Does it have turbo? If the smoke is pouring out of the exhaust it may be the turbo is goin, the smoke will be from oil leaking from the turbo into the exhaust.

possibly valve stem oil seals are u/s,valve guides are probably worn aswell.
