Mend DAF CF 85 Truck Engine Fuel

daf cf 85 ?

2009 daf cf 85 ran out of fuel couldnt start it after putting fuel in tank for sometime finally started it and it revs up on its own to
1000rpm but when the press the accelerator the revs drop to tickover.
what could the problem be
