My Humax pvr9200T has lost the 'record' function in the menu, have tried powering off from back as suggested by Humax to no avail, also it is making an audible 'beep' about one a second ,like a clock !
grateful for any help Dell-Somerset
The loss of the 'record' function in the menu is due to the hard disk drive (HDD) no longer being recognised as connected. This can be because the HDD is faulty or the connections have become loose.
If the Humax is out of guarantee then switch to stand-by, then unplug from the mains. Find a suitable screw driver and take the cover off to check that all connections are good. If they appear OK they may not be and so make sure they are fully seated anyway.
If the HDD is recognised every other time it is switched out of stand-by then this is due to an incompatible HDD being installed.

the record function is back. I switched it off last night using the rocker switch at the back, and this morning there was a transmitter retune in my area.
I started seeing retune announcements about the same time the record function stopped working.... is it a coincidence?

Ive just lost mine too. I cant see any of my recorded videos or use any of the playback buttons like record, etc.
I bought the box 3 months ago and this problem just happened yesterday.
