If you replace the motor the chances are you'll need to replace the post-motor filter as well. That's £60 fo rthe bits and shipping.

For £65 Dyson will come and do a full service, at your home, including all bits for £65, with a twelvemonth guarantee.

Got my DC07 done: New motor and filter, plus pre-motor filter, new cyclone, new clutch.

About £120 worth of bits, supplied and fitted for just £65.

Not worth getting me hands dirty.
