how can i fix my worcester 28si boiler?

my hot and cold water pressure is fine downstairs,and the hot water pressure is fine upstairs over the last cuple of days,the pressure for the cold water upstairs has gone,every time i go to run the bath,or sink,i have to swicth of the boiler to get the cold from the hot tap,is it a problem from the boiler,or is it sumthing els.i have a big cold water tank in the loft,

There is a pressure relief valve behind the pressure gauge, spring loaded just slightly twist and this will release the pressure.

If you've overfilled it the pressure gauge will show this. The pointer should be the green area on the gauge. If is has been over pressurised (over filled) then the boiler will blow the excess out through the over pressure pipe (the copper pipe bent on the outside or into a tun dish on the inside). However an easy way to reduce the pressure for people (not engineers who go into the boiler) is to simply drain off some water from a radiator either by a drain off valve, if its fitted, at the lockshield valve or by the air bleed nipple at the top of the radiator. If the boiler has locked out due to being over pressure then rebet it after draining some water out of the system.
