Mend Nissan Primera Overheating Temperature Coolant

over temp problem?

i have a nissan primera and today all of a sudden the temprature guage went to rocket high, and it was blowing cold air from the blower even after selecting it to hot.... pls help...... is it a temp sensor?...a thermostat?... or a water pump?

hi is it loosing water if none notisable fill the rad with water may be all it needs if not could well be thermostat but as you say it boils up sounds like a water loss check water level fill and i would have the head gasget tested at a garage should not cost much for a quick test
