n reg ford escort door catch broken and carnt open door?

my escort door catch is broken and it wont open. i have tried opening it manually by takeing the door card off but no luck. the central locking still tryes and unlocks the door but doesnt and it still wont unlock if you try with the key please help its driving me mental thanks Daren
