how do i replace the door hinge on my hotpoint aquarius wd61p?

I was given a hotpoint aquarius 1100 wd61p about 4 years ago and have not had any problems with it until a couple of days ago the door fell off. It was about 6 years old when i got it. i have got the hinge because i was told it was easy to fix but do not know how to do it. I was told to peel back the door seal and hold the back of the two screws in but there is a piece of plastic behind the seal that does not move. Any help would be appreciated.
