How can I fix a jammed pull string on a single bulb light fixture?

The pull cord on a single bulb light fixture is jammed in the "pulled" position, so I can't turn the light off. How do I repair?

You don't repair you replace. Switch OFF mains, remove old switch and connect the red or brown wire to Com and the black or blue wire to L1 on the new pull cord switch.
