Mend Yardman Riding Mower Lawn Battery

How can I keep solenoids from blowing on my yardman tractor?

I have an older yardman riding mower and I replaced the solenoid on it last summer and mowed my lawn 3 times and it quite working again when this happens I have to boost my tractor as well as hot wire it and my battery does not get charged?
