vs ultra 2000, no guide info on channels?

You don't say what country you are in or what satellite or service you have your dish pointed at but here is some stuff that may help you understands why the EPG doesn't work. The DVB-S standard only insists on Now and Next being broadcast on each channel, which is what I suspect that you are getting. The EPG on a DVB-S system relies on a broadcaster broadcasting it. e.g. In the UK BSkyB
