Mend Gibson WS27M8WAGA Machine Washer Works

How can I fix my Gibson washing machine WS27M8WAGA?

My Gibson washer works fine but has a thumping noise with every revolution of the drum. The drum can be turned by hand to produce the noise as if something is loose and banging against the outside of the drum where you cannot see. Any thought would be greatly appreciated.
