how do i adjust the clutch on my ford escort mk 4 van 1990 H reg?

there is no adjustment for the mk4 but there is a cheat if you get someone to lift the clutch pedal up as far as it will go and you at the gearbox end with pliers pull the clutch cable it will release and make it easier for you to get the cable out.then between the cable and the gearbox get acouple of washers so you are lenghtening the cable and this will adjust the cable keep going till it feels right but if clutch badly worn a short term solution marktvr@msn.com

you cant adjust the cable, its self adjusting you'll have to buy a new clutch
