how to fix my gear box fiat punto 1.2 auto 1996 N REG?

my car goes into gear but will not actually move i think one of the gear box sensors has gone can u help

Hi is it difficult to move the gearstick?
Most common fault on this type of gearbox which is a ECVT is the electro magnetic powder clutch.
They do snap the chain inside them as well as splitting the secondry drum if it has broke the chain or split the drum the reason for this is that the valvebody is worn out.
