Mend Hotpoint Powerstream Washing Machine Display

I can not open my washing machine door?

I have a hotpoint powerstream wash system. It has a key symbol on the display that will not go off. I have turned the washing machine off and back on and it is still there. I can not open the door to remove my washing? Can you help on how I remove this symbol

Try taking the drain hose of the machine and laying it low (put a bowl down to catch excess water).
It's only a suggestion, but if your machine has a fault which leaves water in the drum, the door will not open. Unplugging it from the mains for 5 minutes and draining off any excess as above should get the door open for you.
