I brought a "W" reg Vauxhall Vectra 2.5 V6 SRI at the weekend and today a warning light on the dash has come on with the engine symbol. Do you know what this means and how to fix it?

if you accelarate quickly now and then and open the car up a bit it seems to like it. my light has never came on since i put the foot down a bit. its a v6 it likes it
