vanessa, remove the top of your mower, and you'll see the thing on the end of your spark plug wire up against the rotor. remove that and lightly sand the rotor, and the horshoe looking thing. Re-assemble it, using a folded recipe card as a guage, and she should run. I'd also replace the fuel in the tank, and carb. To empty the carb, loosen the bolt on the bottom of the carb, and the fuel should drain out. Then just tighten it all back up, and put the top assembly back on the top of the mower. You may have to jerk the pull start rope a little to get it seated again.
