What does error code E7 mean on a Sharp AL-1642CS?

My Sharp AL-1642CS started printing jumbled pages in the middle of a print job, so I power cycled it, and now it just flashes E-7 in the display and won't do anything. Does anybody know what this error code means and/or how to clear it?

you need the rest of the code, when E7 flashes hold down the copy button & the rest of the code will show, normally 01, 02 , 03 or 04

I ended up calling customer support. After pressing several buttons for the tech, he concluded that my machine had a memory error and would need to be serviced. Drag.
