Mend Lexar Jumpdrive Repair Fine Head

Lexar Jumpdrive HARDWARE repair .. i think?

My jump drive was working just fine then, the usb head, (the part you plug into usb port on your comp) is all bent up on the sides. now when I plug it in it wont even show up on my computer, as if its not even plugged in. and the led doesnt blink on anymore when i plug it in, anyone know how to repair this?

Apologies this is not an answer but a plee to ask if you have had any joy in contacting anyone that has been able to repair or retrieve the data from your pen drive.

I have one with similar symptoms which holds vital data and I am desperate to retrieve it, it looks like the only way is to access the chip some other way.
