most plumbers won't advice people on diy on their boiler if they don't know what they are doing.
as advise over the internet is not wise.
as you can do more damage than good, as your boiler is full of mains voltage parts etc.

well of course the draining has been done - got replacement just need to locate - not readily visible and no info in manual. - thought I was seeking assistance?

theres more to it than just take the front off the valve you have to drain it
