Mend eMachines T2742 3 Monitor Display

emachines T2742 3 beeps and no monitor display?

I tried to upgrade my RAM and when I put in the new 512 card nothing happended when I turned the computer back on except that there were three beeps. Nothing shows on the monitor. I tried to put my old RAM card back into the original slot but all I get is three beeps an no visuals on the monitor when I power up. Help!!

depending on you motherboards chipset it could be graphics or memory (symptons suggest memory, move memry moddule to next bank and try that - make sure they are fully home - reseating often works!. could look here for your answer as well
