we have just bought a secondhand aquarius 1000 de luxe WM25 washing machine. its a hot and cold fill.the water came in very hot --to hot for the 40 degree setting.is this faulty or was the cold water going in to another area and not the washing powder compartment. yet the rinses all came through cold. the water still felt hot through the glass door during the washing cycle,its as though no cold water came in at all. whats happening hear? any body know please? dont want to complain to the seller unessesarily!

May well be that the little filter on the cold inlet is blocked a bit, I have always discarded these, turn the cold water off to the washing machine, unscew the hose on the back of the machine but remember you will get some water out from the hose so put a bowl on the floor, look inside the inlet on the washing machine and you will see a plastic gauze bit, pull it straight out with pliers or something and it will help the flow of cold water, all of our hot water goes into the machine at a higher temperature and it will sort itself out with the cold.
