MY NISSAN NAVARA IS MISFIRING?

HELP! NISSAN NAVARA 2002 2.5 DIESEL
1) TICKOVER HAS INCREASED TO 1500RPM (HEAT SWITCH NOT TURNED ON)1100RPM WHEN COLD
2)SEEMS TO HAVE DEVELOPED A SLIGHT MISFIRE IN LOW REVS WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE . ALL HELP GRATEFULLY RECEIVED. NICK

Hi guys, im buying a nissan navara aventura 2008 model with 180k on yhe clock. When its idle it mis fires once its warmed up. It runs fine when over 2500rpm. Any ideas?

You will find if i'm not mistaken its the switch on the gearbox which detects nuetral for the fast idle switch.TO check disconect the gearbox plugs and it should be fine

Did you mange to cure this problem?
I have an 02 Navara which has developed a misfire in 3rd gear Nissan have scanned the ecu which shows no faults what now?

sounds like plugs and wiring. plugs crack and cause missing but there are cheap.
