gear linkage on a renault clio 1.4...please help?

I think you have the same problem as me if so be warrned when i got the car i had a similer problem i chose to ignor it and just live with it BIG mistake the problem was the gear linkage rubbing against the exhaust causing the knocking noise this happens mostly when putting the car into reverse and 4th long story short after about 2 months the gear linkage snapped completly leaving me stranded at the road side best bet would be to take it to the garrage you took it to last time and get them to take a look at it. good luck getting it fixxed

hey man ,if the garage charged you so much they should fix the problem ,but if theres some problem there id chcel the engine mounts arnt bent ,sometimes this can cause the problem ,if not ,then sometimes the linkages can be adjustable then just make them longer or shorter ,good luck man
