Mend Blaupunct CD/radio

Interference?

I have a Blaupunct CD/radio fitted to a Bavaria cruiser. In the UK, reception is good on FM. In Belgium and Holland there is a lot of interference on MW/LW . Is there a cure?

The interference sounds like crackling. If the 240v battery charger is disconnected the interference is less.

What kind of interference, is it car related? ie hi pitched whine or regular clicking.
