Mend Huskee 31C777 Engine Lawn Carb

Huskee mower 17.5 OHV Model 31C777?

I just got the mower, the person told me he could not get running. I cleaned the carb because it acted like it was getting to much gas. I took the hose coming from the block that goes into the side of carb off because I noticed gas coming from there. After this I got the mower to start but gas is just gushing out this hose and mower is smoking heavily through what looks like the bottom of muffler. Any ideas??
