Mend Peugeot 206 Problem Causing Switch

How can this problem be rectified and what might be causing it?

My Peugeot 206 sometimes revs itself, its automatic! but its scary. If I have to switch it off when its doing that (ie stop streets etc) it takes some time before she can be started again

its your stepper motor , its on the carb , common peugeot fault , costs over 100 for a new 1, or you can live with it (its not dangerous at all), or unplug it
