Mend Ariston LSI61 Dishwasher Stuck Detergent Door

stuck detergent door?

The detergent door does not open during wash cycle, why is this.
It does seem to go through the whole cycle, it is an Ariston LSI61

BE SURE THAT YOU ARE NOT BLOCKING THE DOOR WITH LONG PEICES OF SILVERWARE OR OTHER UTENSILS IN THE SILVERWARE BASKET. ALSO GET A BRUSH AND SCRUB THE DOOR AND ITS LATCH. I HOPE THIS HELPS.
