Mend Glow-Worm Heating Works Water Problem

Heating works, but Hot Water doesn't... Glowworm Micron 40FF?

I've having a strange problem at home.

If, via the Programmer, I turn the heating on the radiators come on.
If, via the Programmer, I turn the hot water on, I get nothing, nada, zilch.

Its only just happened, the water is clearly heating up as the radiators are working, but there is nothing coming out of the tap.

Any ideas what this could be? I wondered about the diapgram or 3 port motorised valve, I wouldn't have a clue how to fix either of these. Any ideas how much it'll set me back?

first your motorised valve that is located after your pump in cupboard.

what name is on it ?

and how many is there 1 or 2 ?

Thanks a lot for that, really appreciate it. Someone else mentioned the motorized valve.

Are either of those things that I could do myself?

If not, and I need a plumber, how much would I expect to pay 'all in' as I got stitched over the one and only ever time I called a plumber in.

Really appreciate your advice.

you have a faulty cylinder stat. thats located half way up your copper cylinder in airing cupboard

or your motorised valve is faulty. thats square box located in your pipework after pump next to copper cylinder.

Sorry, didn't state that right, there is water coming out of the hot tap, however its all luke-warm at best before turning cold.

micron 40ff is a system boiler not a combi.

nothing at all or it's cold not hot ?

it don't have a diaphragm thats a combi boiler

so we need to know about the hot tap is there water or nothing at all ?
