Mend AEG 6555 Noise Burning Bearings

AEG 6555 starting making a niose and smell of burning?

Our aeg 6555 washing machine started making a noise whilst on spin , and there was a distinct smell of electrical burning. It appears to me that the bearings may have gone and that the added resistance increased the current drain, thus tripping the electric. Anyone else had this problem, and , if so, is it easy to fix, or can anyone point me in the direction of a service manual for it please.

sounds like your motor has gone.try turning the inner drum by hand does it make a clicking noise as you do?.if so motor gone
