I need advice about a light switch wiring?

I have just removed spotlights and a dimmer switch in a bedroom. then replaced with a standard switch and a flourescent circular tube light.

Everything works, in that bedroom light on and off with the switch fine.

The light switch is back to back (sharing the opposite sides of the same wall) of the switch in bedroom two.

The problem is that both lights in the different bedrooms 1 & 2 will not come on at the same time. Either will come on if the the light is off in the other room. But if bedroom 1 light is on the other will not switch on.

The light switch has three terminals L1 L2 and comm. There are three red wires connected to each of the terminals. The comm wire from the previous dimmer switch went to comm in the new switch. I have tried switching the other two reds.

Any advice would be apprecitae. Thanks Roy

Hi, you should have 2 wires connected together on the com terminal, these will be live feed and link to second bedroom switch, the third wire will go to either L1 or L2, which one you connect to will determine if light is on with switch in down position or up position.
