Potterton Profile 60e Boiler Pilot Light?

This type of boiler does have a pilot but it isn't permanant like the old type. The only time the pilot lights is when you want the boiler to fire up. This is called electronic ignition, hence the e at the end of profile 60e. And yes, it is meant to be small and be in contact with the electrode as this both lights and senses the flame.
