Mend Ariston A/23 Boiler Combi Circuit Board

aristonA/23 combi boiler?

when the on off button is pressed to switch on ,my boiler goes straight to the ignition lockout reset button which lights red. when that is pressed it wont light the burner. a plumber said it needs a new circuit board. any help please

if your boiler tries to ignite then locks out it could be the gas valve. a bit more info would be great.. i am ariston service engineer.
