Mend Magnavox Projection Tv Picture

Projection TV - Magnavox LXI Oil???

What kind of oil is used between the picture tube and lens????
It is in the blue transmitter lens. In cleaning the lens the oil in this part spilled out. I would like to fix it myself, where can I obtain it if possible?

My oil in the blue gun apparently grows algae. I have filtered it through a coffee filter but the contaminant returns in about 6 month. you have to remove the gun from the set otherwise the fluid will spill

what you are looking for is heat transfer fluid. you can obtain it from www.mcmelectronics.com they are a very reliable source for components and electronics. i recomend that you do not attempt this yourself, call a technician.

The liquid is actually a coolant, and apparently available only through tv repair shops. Now that I've refilled the coolant, there is a problem adjusting the "convergence" of the three colors. Help?
