how do i lower the feed dogs on my crofton sewing machine?

You should have a lever on the right hand side underneath the stittch length lever or dial, or, if you open the slide plate there should be a lever near the teeth to lower them down, if you do not have any levers then you cannot lower them down, you may have to use a raised throat plate to sew buttons on.
