Mend Vaillant ecoTEC Combi Red Light

Vaillant Combi Boiler?

My boiler was working fine and then one morning I realised we had no hot water, so I went to the control panel and a red light was flashing and it was reading F28 on the panel, I can re ignite it manually by the button to get temporary hot water but then it goes out again.

I had this problem, then found out that the gas valve had been shut off....this was turned back on and the flame button pressed and it started back up!!!

f28 is the code for no gas, if you have a card meter have you credit, and does it say on in the bottom left hand corner? have you reset the boiler to see if it will relight, top left of the 4 buttons on the front, the one with a picture of a flame with a cross through it
