gilera dna50 water in plug?

I have just started to put a gilera dna50 back on the road i cleaned all the old fuel out and cleaned the carb up put in a fresh plug got the fuel flowing through and it started but then it cut out took plug out and it was filled with water so i kicked it over a few times with no plug put in a dry plug started it up again it ran for 60 seconds then cut out plug was full of water again any ideas anyone..this is a water cooled engine 2001 reg.
